Mrs. Kimberly L. Means-Nesmith is a native of Andrews, South Carolina. She is entering her 13th year in education, five of those have been in Georgetown County. Mrs. Nesmith will serve her first year as Principal of Brown's Ferry Elementary School.

Mrs. Nesmith received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in English from South Carolina State University. She then began her teaching career in North Carolina and continued her education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. There, she received a Master's of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an add on Reading Licensure. Mrs. Nesmith taught Pre-K, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades while living in North Carolina. In 2014, Mrs. Nesmith received a Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership. She has taught 3rd and 5th grades in Horry County before becoming employed with Georgetown County School District as a Curriculum Coach. Mrs. Nesmith has most recently worked as Assistant Principal at Andrews Elementary School.

Mrs. Nesmith is married to Jacob and has two children, Kaylee Elizabeth, 5, and Jacob Emerson, 2. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, listening to music, and traveling with her husband and friends.
